Shahid Afridi has admitted that he has no intention of attending Wednesday's disciplinary hearing after he quit international cricket last week.
The 31-year-old led Pakistan to the World Cup finals and was also in charge of the 50-over side during last month's tour to West Indies.
But his strained relationship with coach Waqar Younis appears to have come to a head and he was stripped of the captaincy after publicly criticising the coach over selection matters in the Caribbean.
Afridi immediately announced his intention to quit the national side and looked set to play for Somerset in the FL t20 competition in England.
However, the PCB suspended his central contract and revoked all no-objection certificates to play abroad, meaning that he could not feature for the West Country outfit.
Afridi has now flown home to Pakistan to try and smooth things over and was summoned to face a three-man disciplinary committee for violating the players' code of conduct.
But the all-rounder's lawyer, Syed Ali Zafar, has made it clear that 'Boom Boom' will not meet with the panel on Wednesday.
"The process followed by the PCB does not conform with the law as even under Pakistan's constitution there is a right given to everyone to be heard before a case is decided," he said.
