Hearts first up for Rangers

Scottish Premier League champions Rangers will start the new season with a home game against Hearts.


The SPL gets underway as early as July 23, with Ally McCoist beginnig his career as Gers boss at Ibrox. Celtic travel to Easter Road to play Hibernian on the same weekend, while newly-promoted Dunfermline Athletic are at home to St Mirren.


The other opnieng day games see Aberdeen at home to St Johnstone and Motherwell hosting Inverness, with Dundee United taking on Kimarnock on July 24.

The first Old Frim game of the season will be played at Ibrox on the weekend of September 17.
