Roscommon captain Peter Domican insists the Rossies are over the disappointment of relinquishing their grip on the Connacht title.
Domican was speaking ahead of this weekend's All-Ireland SFC Round Four qualifier against Mickey Harte'sTyrone at GAA headquarters.
The St Brigid's clubman said: "We know where we went wrong against Mayo and we know the areas where we need to improve on.
"It's been a long year and there's no point wasting it now and putting the heads down.
"These are the games you want to be playing in - you want to be playing against the best players in the country.
"We looking forward to it and we won't hold any fears of Tyrone.
“We know they're a quality side and we'll give them respect.
"But once the ball is thrown in on Saturday, we're going to be in their faces and we'll hit them as hard as we can because we want to win the game.
"If it's not enough, it's not enough."
Full-forward Senan Kilbride is an injury worry for Fergal O'Donnell's side and will face a late fitness test before Saturday's clash with the Red Hand.
Meanwhile, defender Donal Ward has been passed fit for the match, despite taking a head knock in the provincial decider against Mayo.
