Mayo footballers Alan Dillon and Keith Higgins have had their say in the Twitter row that has engulfed gaelic games this summer.
The fall-out dates back to Limerick's defeat of Wexford in the fourth round qualifiers when referee Derek Fahy found himself at the centre of controversy over yet another disputed decision.
Several Wexford players used the medium to publicly criticise Fahy, a move that prompted the GAA to intervene.
The association is due to introduce a set of player guidlines for use of the social network.
Dillon is a self-confessed Twitter user and agrees with the association's stance.
He told the Irish Examiner:"The GAA are right in a way."
"There should be guidelines where players should draw the line in terms of comments about county boards and referees.
"My own experience is that it's just a bit of craic and a bit of fun. Any negativity of bringing the game into disrepute should be eradicated.
"That's where the GAA is coming from."
Team-mate Keith Higgins is not convinced, however, and doesn't see the need for a clampdown.
He said: "It wouldn't bother me too much if they did clamp down on it or if they didn't. If they do they might be going a bit too far.
"If lads want to say what they want, fire ahead. It doesn't bother me."
