Two goals from Gary Hooper gave Celtic a much needed 2-0 victory over St Mirren in their Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at St Mirren Park on Sunday.
The former Scunthorpe striker linked up with Anthony Stokes after just six minutes, firing past Craig Samson from close range.
Hooper then seized on a mistake by the former Celtic player Paul McGowan to fire home a second on 12 minutes.
Stokes almost made it 3-0 just after half-time, but after his driving run into the box the Dubliner saw his effort turned around the post by Samson.
The Buddies almost came back into it when Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson headed the ball into his own net but Frazer Forster was a relieved man to see the ball go past the post, and Neil Lennon's side saw out the match to record their first win in four matches.
