Big-spending French side Paris St-Germain have expressed their desire to sign former England captain David Beckham.
The midfielder's contract with LA Galaxy runs out in November and PSG Sporting director Leonardo, who managed the Englishman during his loan spell at AC Milan in 2010, says the "door is open" if the former Real Madrid man wanted to join the Parisian outfit.
PSG have recently been taken over by the Qatar Investment Authority and are now understood to be looking to establish themselves on a worldwide scale and feel signing Beckham would be the perfect coup.
"He is more than a football player, he's a brand, a pop star," Leonardo told the BBC.
"I would always consider him.
"He respects the rules, listens to you and wants the best for the team.
"That's why, for me, he is a big example.
"I worked with him and that's why I talk about his name."
