Martin makes Palace switch

by Setanta Staff , 15 November 2011

Crystal Palace have signed Chris Martin on loan from Norwich until January 2.

The 23-year-old striker started three of the Canaries' first four Premier League games this season, but has since found his opportunities limited.

Canaries boss Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "Chris needs to get some games and that's why I decided it was the right thing to send him out on loan.

"Palace have made a good start under Dougie Freedman this season, and if he does play it will be at a good, competitive level, which is important."

The Eagles are currently sixth in the Championship but have not scored in their last three matches.

Martin is in line to make his debut when they travel to Leicester on Sunday.
