Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Manchester City to extend Greg Cunningham's loan spell until the end of the season.
Cunningham's stay at the City Ground was set to expire after the home game against Cardiff on New Year's Eve.
"He's done really well and caught everyone's eye," Forest boss Steve Cotterill told the club's official website. "I think our supporters like him, which is obviously important, and we're really pleased he's staying with us.
"
Greg is a good lad, we've been delighted with him.
He's a really good footballer and he's fitted in really well.
"Everything is now agreed with Manchester City and we're just finalising all the paperwork that needs to be done."
Left-back Cunningham, 20, has made 10 appearances for Forest during his initial two-month loan.
