Frecklington set to go under knife

by Setanta Staff , 29 December 2011 Frecklington set to go under knife

Peterborough midfielder Lee Frecklington requires a hernia operation and will be out for around a month.

Frecklington has experienced discomfort in his groin area for several weeks and was forced off for the second successive game as Posh beat Coventry 1-0 at London Road on December 17.

He missed the Boxing Day victory at Nottingham Forest and the 26-year-old will go under the knife next week.

"Lee will have his operation on Tuesday and we expect that to keep him out of action for up to four weeks," manager Darren Ferguson told the club's official website.
