QPR are believed to be the club who have made a £7million offer for in-demand Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.
Rangers boss Ally McCoist confirmed an offer had been made ahead of his side's 1-0 Old Firm defeat to Celtic on Wednesday and it is thought the R's have made an early move in an attempt to lure him to Loftus Road next month.
McCoist said: "Somebody at the club had mentioned it to me before kick-off, which was all I needed, to be frank."
Jelavic has long been linked with a move to the Premier League following some impressive performances for the Gers as he has scored 28 goals in 43 appearances for the side since his move from Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2010.
Sunderland, Liverpool and West Brom have also been linked with the 26-year-old but are unlikely to want to shell out the £10million asking price Rangers want so QPR, despite offering just £7million at the moment, appear to be in the driving seat to land him.
His departure would represent a further blow to McCoist, who has seen his side concede a 15 point lead to Celtic at the top of the table over the past two months.
With finances tight a Ibrox it also remains to be seen whether McCoist would be able to spend any of the money recieved for Jelavic.
