Lennon seeking new faces

by Setanta Staff , 13 January 2012 Celtic_SPL

Neil Lennon admits he is seeking "one or two" new faces, but the Celtic boss is no fan of the January transfer window.

The Glasgow giants currently have two players on trial, former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim and Icelandic winger Ingolfur Sigurdsson, but Lennon is yet to make a decision on the pair, although he revealed he has been "impressed" by both.

Lennon admits he is willing to strengthen in the current transfer window, but the Celtic boss believes the current transfer system should be scrapped.

"I don't like it (the current transfer system). I think we should go back to having an open market throughout the season. You have to do all your business in a short period of time and it is very difficult to do that at times," said Lennon.

"I get bored with it. I get bored answering the same repetitive questions, speculating on players coming in and going out and I can only reiterate that I don't want to sell any of my players and if I can add one or two to my squad then I will try and do that. "

But January is a difficult time, clubs want to hold onto their better players and negotiations can be difficult.

But we are still looking.''
