Canaries warn clubs off Holt bids

by Setanta Staff , 25 January 2012 football news

Norwich have moved to warn clubs off making bids for striker Grant Holt, saying he is not for sale at any price.

Holt has impressed for the Canaries this season, scoring eight goals to help Paul Lambert's side into the top half of the Premier League.

However, his form has attracted attention from elsewhere with SPL giants Rangers said to be among several clubs keen on him.

Norwich say they will not listen to offers for the 30-year-old and hope instead to sort out a new, long-term contract for the striker soon.

Holt has exceeded expectations since he joined from Scunthorpe in 2009.
