Andy Carroll has played down rumours linking him with a move away from Liverpool and insists he is happy at Anfield.
The striker has struggled to justify the £35million fee Reds boss Kenny Dalglish paid Newcastle for him 12 months ago and there have been strong rumours suggesting the club could cut their losses and let him go.
The Magpies, Manchester City and Tottenham have been heavily linked with a pre-deadline swoop but Carroll says he does not regret the move and wants to stay and fight for his place.
When asked if he regretted the move, Carroll said: "Not at all.
"The club has been great with me and everyone outside the club has been fantastic and I am enjoying it down here.
"Everyone has backed me and helped us along the way. I have signed a contract here and this is the team I am playing for."
Even so it is thought Dalglish will be willing to sell should another club come in and match the figure he is looking for.
