No late deals for Villa

by Setanta Staff , 31 January 2012 No late deals for Villa

Alex McLeish is very unlikely to be doing any late deals on deadline day after saying he has "ignored" the transfer window this month.

The Villa boss has signed ex-Spurs and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane on loan from LA Galaxy and snapped up promising left-back Enda Stevens from Shamrock Rovers this month while Fabien Delph has returned to Leeds on loan.

There is unlikely to be any late action at Villa Park on Tuesday, though, with McLeish happy with the squad he has assembled for the rest of the season.

"I've totally ignored the transfer deadline," he said. "I keep saying we've got a wage bill to manage and we've not really wavered from that."
