Doyle eyes longer run

by Setanta Staff , 06 February 2012 Striker eyes longer run

Wolves striker Kevin Doyle is hoping his winner for the team on Saturday will kick start his season.

The Republic of Ireland international has struggled to hold down a place in the side since a knee injury kept him out but he is hoping the winner against QPR will be just the start of things to come for the remainder of the current season and he hopes to start against the Baggies next weekend.

Doyle said: "It was nice to get the goal and nice to win the game. It's been a while since we did so the three points was vital for us.

"QPR are down there with us - they have made some signings and we've had some bad results recently.

"To win the game after going 1-0 down is a big result for is particularly after we'd not started too well. We showed good spirit to come back and win the game.

"It's been very tough for us and we've been getting some stick but this win gives us a bit of confidence going into a big derby game at the weekend."
