Coyle calls for response

by Setanta Staff , 07 February 2012 Coyle calls for response

Owen Coyle says Bolton's destiny is in their own hands and has urged his players to bounce back from the Norwich defeat against Wigan.

Coyle was fuming after the 2-0 defeat at Carrow Road that resulted in Wanderers slipping back into the bottom three but the players have the perfect chance to turn things around at home to Wigan on Saturday.

The defeat was a kick in the teeth after great performances against Liverpool, Arsenal and Swansea, and the Trotters boss was far from happy.

"We've slipped down a place back into the bottom three, and we're not too happy about that," he said. "But equally, we're the masters of our own destiny. We have to give better performances than we did there.

"It was always going to be a scrap.

"It will be for the title, the Champions League and the Europa Cup - nothing changes - but you have to move on to the next game and make sure you concentrate on getting maximum points."
