Harry Redknapp says he has yet to be approached for the vacant England job and is staying focused on the title race with Tottenham.
The Spurs boss is red hot favourite to eventually take charge of the national side following the resignation of Fabio Capello but the Football Association have yet to make contact.
The Tottenham fans made it clear what they think as they chanted 'Harry Redknapp we want you to stay' during Saturday's 5-0 win over Newcastle and they hope he will at least stay until the end of the season.
The victory leaves Tottenham hot on the heals of Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for the title and Redknapp would prefer to stay focused on Spurs rather than think about England.
"Nothing's happened with the England job. No-one has spoken to me or (chairman) Daniel (Levy) about it," Redknapp said after the game.
"It wouldn't be fair to anyone here to think about it. Daniel gave me the job, he brought me to the club when there was a public court case hanging over me. I owe him and we've been great for each other. At the moment I can't take my focus off Tottenham."
The victory capped off a difficult week for Redknapp, who was cleared of tax evasion, and he thanked the fans for their support.
"The crowd have been brilliant with me, they've been great and I appreciated their support," he added. "This was the most difficult week I've ever had. I wouldn't want anyone to go through that and what it's done to my family was worse.
"But it's behind us now and the week's turned out good. Things turned out right and the lads played well today. It was a good all round performance."
