Parks issues Scots backing

by Setanta Staff , 13 February 2012

Former Scotland fly-half Dan Parks believes the side can win their last three games in the Six Nations despite back-to-back defeats.

The Scots have been competitive in the tournament so far but have tasted defeat at the hands of both England and Wales in the opening two rounds of this year's competition.

Once again the potential in the Scotland squad is not being fulfilled, with a host of chances at Murrayfield and the Millennium Stadium being squandered by poor decisions at crucial moments.

Parks decided to call time on his international career following the 13-6 defeat to England in their Calcutta Cup encounter, as he looks to focus on his rugby with the Cardiff Blues for the rest of the season.

The Australian-born stand-off believes Scotland can respond by winning their next three games against France, Ireland and Italy.

Parks told BBC Radio Scotland: "We've had two losses but I still certainly believe the guys can get the three wins in the last three games.

"We'll bounce back. I'm sure the guys will be up for it in the French game."
