Hiddink tipped for Blues job

by Setanta Staff , 14 February 2012 Chelsea

Chelsea are lining up a move for Guus Hiddink following reports of a player revolt against boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The Chelsea players were first of all furious that Villas-Boas cancelled their scheduled day off and dragged them into training on Sunday following the poor display at Everton, and then the meeting is reported to have turned in to a slanging match.

Villas-Boas is reported to have let rip at his players following what he described as the worst performance of the season at Goodison Park, while senior players hit back over his tactics and management style.

All this took place in front of owner Roman Abramovich who spent the whole of last week at the training ground after becoming alarmed with Chelsea's form this season.

A whole host of newspapers are reporting the bust up but opinion is divided on whether Abramovich will keep faith with the man he appointed to replace Carlo Ancelotti in the summer.

Some say he will while others believe he could turn to the trusty Hiddink to get things back on track or even former England boss Fabio Capello.

Chelsea have yet to comment on the reports but there is no smoke without fire and it appears all is far from well at Stamford Bridge.
