Most Improved is a doubt for the Qipco 2000 Guineas after being ruled out of the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Craven Stakes at Newmarket on Thursday.
Brian Meehan's charge was the hot-favourite for the Newmarket feature following a sustained gamble but he was found to be lame as he was being readied for the journey to headquarters. He was immediately checked over by vets and was subsequently withdrawn from the Craven Stakes.
With just over two weeks until the 2000 Guineas, Meehan admits there is some doubt over his charge's participation but he will wait until he has had the chance to consult with vets before making a final decision.
"Obviously at this stage his participation is open to question. We will closely monitor the situation in conjunction with the vets and as soon as they have cleared him we will keep everyone informed," Meehan told his official website.
