Kovac wants to stay in England

West Ham loan signing Radoslav Kovac is being tracked by an unnamed Premier League club ‘in the north of England’ according to his agent.

The Czech Republic international moved to Upton Park in January and made nine appearances.

Kovac would like remain at West Han but a permanent move is doubtful with his parent club Spartak reportedly asking for too much money.

The midfielder’s agent Viktor Kolar maintains Kovac wants to stay in England rather than return to Russia.

“Radoslav likes Moscow, the Spartak fans love him, but he would still like to stay in Britain, where there is interest in him from a Premier League team in the north of England,” Kolar told Sport Express.

Blackburn, Sunderland and Hull have been linked with the Czech although the Bundesliga could be a possible destination for Kovac.

“The German club Hannover have also asked [Spartak] about the conditions for a possible transfer,” added the agent.

“As far as I know, the Russian club are intent on recouping no less than 3 million euros [£2.6m] for Kovac.”
