Peter Coates has suggested he will dip his hand in his own pocket to fund Stoke’s summer spending spree.
The Potters defied the odds to keep their heads above water in their first season in The Premier League, but the thoughts are now turning to next term.
Stoke chief Tony Pulis is keen to add some quality to his ranks and chairman Coates has suggested he will use his own money to fund a transfer raid.
“That might well have to be the case,“ Coates told The Sentinel. “You have to have the cashflow to do things.
“Often you find that the money which comes isn’t in a lump sum, so you have to have the ability to find the money.
“I am sure there will be more support from the company.”
