Owen eyes Premier League move

by Richard Field , 14 June 2009

Michael Owen is not interested in a move abroad as a brochure outlining the Newcastle striker’s portfolio goes into circulation.

Owen's management company The Wasserman Media Group, has produced the document which highlights the strengths of the former Liverpool player, and this has winged its way to a select group of Premier League sides.

The out-of-contract Owen has endured a miserable time in the North East with a string of injuries compounded by Newcastle’s relegation last season.

“Although there has been interest from abroad, Michael has told us that he would prefer to stay in the Premier League,” chief operating offer of WMG Sam Rush told the Sunday Mirror.

“In the week after the season ended, we prepared a document showing all the information an interested club would require and this was circulated to a select group.

“We also included a medical report and answers to frequently asked questions as well as a review of his commercial benefits and international name awareness.”
