Goalkeeping coach Raimond van der Gouw has left Sunderland in order to join Vitesse Arnhem of the Dutch Eredivisie.
Van der Gouw was appointed at the Stadium of Light in July 2007 when linking up with former Manchester United colleague Roy Keane.
The Dutchman spent two years with The Black Cats but has now signed a two-year deal with former club Vitesse.
Van der Gouw joined Vitesse as a player in 1988 and made 258 league appearances before joining United in the summer of 1996.
He arrived at Old Trafford as an understudy to the legendary Peter Schmeichel and went on to make 26 Premier League starts in six years under Sir Alex Ferguson.
