Malouda quashes move rumours

by Richard Field , 21 June 2009

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda says he has no desire to leave Chelsea with Italian giants Milan reportedly tracking him.

The Frenchman flourished under caretaker Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink, after looking like damaged goods under the previous manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Malouda played a key role in Chelsea’s FA Cup success in May and he is now looking to impress the new Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

“I have a great relationship at Chelsea and, in sporting terms, I am part of a team where I am flourishing,” Malouda said in the Daily Star.

“I have always dreamed of winning the Cup. Chelsea are not far away from the best in the world.”

The agent of Michael Essien claims the Ghanaian may leave Stamford Bridge this summer, if the right offer comes his way.

Fabien Piveteau says Essien is happy at Chelsea but a move to the continent may lure the midfielder away from the West London club.

“Some clubs are interested in Michael,” Piveteau said. “He likes Chelsea very much, but football is football and if Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other club make an offer he needs to sit down and discuss what is best for him."
