Cristiano Ronaldo has confessed he should not have publicly expressed his intention to join Real Madrid.
The Manchester United hero has admitted that he should have kept quiet about his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer, as he was at the centre of constant transfer speculation for a year.
In an honest interview, the Portuguese has pleaded guilty and said he made a mistake and should have behaved differently.
The only person to blame is himself, according to the future Madrid star.
“Anything that has not been right with the move is my fault and nothing to do with Real Madrid or Manchester United,” Ronaldo told the News of the World.
“I opened my mouth and that is what caused the problems between the two clubs, who both acted in a correct way.
“Yes, I would have handled things differently and not been so public.”
