Wladimir Klitschko has targeted WBA champion Nikolay Valuev to ensure his family own all the major heavyweight titles.
Klitschko dominated Ruslan Chagaev in a one-sided contest on Saturday night before the Uzbekistan fighter's corner pulled him out at the end of the tenth round.
Chagaev was the WBA champion-in-recess but that governing body ruled before the contest that this belt would not be on the line against Klitschko.
Klitschko vowed to return to the 61,000-capacity Veltins Stadion and praised his opponent afterwards, who he insisted was the third best fighter in the world behind he and his brother, WBC Champion, Vitali.
Unfortunately for David Haye who was forced to withdraw from the contest with a back injury, Klitschko says his sights are now set on the man Chagaev was himself scheduled to meet last month, Valuev.
"For me Chagaev is the best fighter in this weight division behind my brother and I," said Klitschko.
"This is the first time he has lost and he is a very good fighter.
"Every punch in this fight was important. Now I want to fight for the WBA belt and I promise you I will be back here again."
