Tiger Woods feels that his putting let him down in the US Open at Bethpage.
After a 74 on the opening day, the world number one hit three successive under par scores to finish evens for the tournament.
Nonetheless, Woods was disappointed by his putting over the weekend.
"I gave myself so many chances, and I made nothing," Woods said.
"To miss that many putts, well, I missed them all week. It's just the way it is."
"I hit the ball as good as I did, as good as I did all week," Woods said, "and to miss that many putts, it's pretty frustrating."
Woods would like to see the U.S. Open return to Bethpage Black, despite the difficulties the course posed.
"It's a great golf course. It's just that the USGA just got the short end of the stick on the weather."
Lucas Glover admits that he limped over the line, as he won the US Open by two shots.
The South Carolinan struggled to a three-over 73 final round to finish on four-under par 276 and defeat countrymen Phil Mickelson, Ricky Barnes and David Duval by two strokes.
"It was a test of patience for sure," Glover said.
"It was tough - I was very pleased to get in where I was - maybe something was on my side this week."
Glover hit a five-foot birdie putt at the 16th hole, whilst Mickelson and Duval each bogeyed 17, and the champion admitted that was the crucial hole.
"That was huge - to get one close and sneak it in was pretty good momentum.
"Two pars at the end was pretty tough but I managed to do it."
