INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES

International friendlies are held when there is a break in competitive international fixtures, normally during the run up to an international tournament such as the FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship. These exhibition games take place among national teams and are used by national coaches to help each country confirm its squad before the major competitions take place.
