Cardiff will have a new face in their ranks in the week leading up to The FA Cup final after West Ham manager Alan Curbishley revealed Craig Bellamy would be training with The Bluebirds in a bid to regain full fitness.
Bellamy has started just eight times this season for The Hammers and has not turned out at all since appearing as a substitute against Wigan at the start of February.
Despite his lack of action for his club, the Wales international is keen to shake off his abdominal injury in time to be considered for his country's games with Iceland on May 28 and Holland the following Sunday.
Curbishley confirmed that Bellamy would join Dave Jones’ men in the lead up to their Wembley date with Portsmouth, whilst also revealing his own plans for the former Liverpool striker.
"I want to get him and Dean Ashton together,” he said. "Bellamy is in full training and has been doing everything. We're going to hopefully continue that.
"Obviously we finish at the weekend but kindly Dave Jones has allowed Craig to train with them for a week as they prepare for the cup game so he can get another week's football in."
