City were in contention for automatic promotion for much of the campaign before running out of steam. The tank appeared to be full at Selhurst Park as The Robins claimed a win over play-off king Neil Warnock.
Warnock has a number of injury concerns, James Scowcroft is out with a hamstring problem and Lee Hills is out with an ankle complaint.
The Robins have no fresh injuries and Gary Johnson’s side will look to ram home their advantage.
Facts and figures
Crystal Palace last managed to defeat Bristol City away from home in March 1980. The last two matches between the sides at Ashton Gate have ended in a 1-1 draw.
City’s 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in the first leg was their first win against Palace in six attempts.
Five goals have been scored in the final five minutes in their last five meetings. Two of these have been last minute goals scored by Bristol City this season – which have salvaged a draw and won a game.
The away side has only won in one of their last eight meetings.
Only Ipswich managed to accrue more points at home in The Championship this season than Bristol City.
If Bristol City were to win the match, it would be their 25th victory over Palace.
