Nasri to sign 'in around 10 days'
by Ben Blackmore, 04 July 2008
Samir Nasri’s agent has promised Arsenal fans the France international will sign in "about 10 days’ time”.
Nasri is currently on holiday following France’s disastrous Euro 2008 campaign in which he played a bit-part role from the bench.
The player revealed on his official website at the end of France’s campaign that he had signed for Arsenal, only for Marseille to deny the transfer had been completed.
Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of Nasri’s services, and will pay a reported £16 million to lure the 21-year-old to North London.
"He is on his holidays. It (the transfer) will be made when he gets back, in about 10 days," said agent Jean-Pierre Bernes.
Nasri’s arrival is likely to catalyze Alexander Hleb’s departure from Emirates Stadium, with Barcelona ready to snap up the Belarusian.
Meanwhile, Arsenal youth team prospect Daniel Boateng has pledged his international future to Ghana, rather than England.
The 15-year-old defender had reportedly attracted interest from the England youth setup but he is keen to play for the country of his parents' birth.
