Naas Oaks prep for Marjalina
by Oli Skehan , 13 May 2008
Marjalina puts his Juddmonte Oaks credentials on the line at Naas on Wednesday evening in the Blue Wind Stakes.
Kevin Prendergast's Marju filly sprinted away from Aidan O'Brien's well-respected Savethisdanceforme in the Park Express Stakes at the Curragh last time out on soft ground.
The conditions are likely to be far removed from soft ground on Wednesday at the Kildare track but Prendergast is confident the underfoot conditions will not pose a problem.
"It's an unknown trip for her and unknown ground," Prendergast told PA.
"But she ran on fastish ground on her debut at Leopardstown.
"She's in good shape and we are looking for a good run.
"We will make a decision on whether she goes for the Oaks after the race tomorrow."
