Low out of Scotland tour

Moray Low has been forced to pull out of Scotland’s summer tour to Argentina.
The uncapped 23-year-old picked up an ankle injury in Glasgow’s final game of the season, against Munster in Cork last weekend, and Scotland team doctor James Robson has revealed that Low is facing at least a month on the sidelines.
"Moray will be subject to further assessment but on reviewing the X-ray he will be in a compression boot for two weeks then undergo a period of rehabilitation of between four to six weeks, which will rule him out of the tour,” he explained.
Low’s withdrawal means a call-up to the senior squad for Edinburgh front row Craig Smith, who had been originally included in the Scotland A squad for the Churchill Cup.
Meanwhile, Glasgow back Max Evans has also been added to Frank Hadden’s touring party due to the unavailability of Nikki Walker [leg] and Rory Lamont [knee], both of whom have been rule out through injury.
"We have decided to promote Max Evans from the Scotland A squad. Max has played well in the Magners League for Glasgow and is another to have benefited from involvement with both Scotland A and Scotland 7s,” Hadden revealed.
"We are still waiting to see if Simon Webster will recover from his hamstring injury to make the tour. He'll be subject to further monitoring and we'd hope to make a decision on Simon next week.”
Unsurprisingly, Evans is thrilled that he has been called into a squad which also features his brother, Thom.
"I'm completely over the moon,” he gushed.
”I thought there might be a slight chance of making the tour, especially when I saw there were still places to fill in the squad and knowing the selectors would be watching the last few games of the season.”
