i know most people think the executioner is all old and rasty, i believe age is just a number and bernnie has proven it by staying in the ring till the end everytime he fight. The joe match was a fluke, judges have their own way of getting you out that fight was no way unanimous, I don't want people to write him off. The likes of Azumah Nelson are till capable of something. Come next saturday you will all witness what am talking about.

The obvious flaw in Bernards game is his inability to sustain his attacks, I think we can forgive him for that seeing he is 43. But he remains a master strategist, the low blows obviously hurt and Bernard needed to catch his breath hence he "milked it". Elbiliy you prove your ignorance by saying Bernard will get hurt bad................I think not, no one really hurts Bernard his too good to get caught and thats where i feel Pavlik will come unstuck once he is unable to put Bernard away he won't have anything left. Plus this is a 10 round contest again this favours the older Bernard.

GH- I agree with u on B- HOP, technically he is one of the greatest, it would be a nightmare to box him, but I have to say kelly P is the real deal, he bangs, has a solid one two that im afraid may break thru B-HOPs defence and would break winkys arms!! Kelly P took taylors best shot, hands down flush on the chin, he got up and had him shook by the end of the round, hes the equivalent of tommy hearns but with a chin of steel!! i say pavlik by points against B-HOP, and by murder if he meets Joe!

Mon Hafeez-i agree with u on the calzaghe b hop fight although b hop couldnt keep it up for the full fight and calzaghe looked the busier even though it was b hop throwing by far the better punches calzaghe won it on sheer workrate alone which i think was wrong,i had hop 1 round up at the end but it depends how u view boxing dosnt it,but if i was calzaghe id be thinking "he put me flat on my arse and what did i do to him" u know.

How can any real boxing fan say watching probably the best defensive boxer of all time be boring, B-Hop may not have the speed and stamina to throw back the way he used to but he should be an example to all young up and coming boxers the same can be said for Winky Wright. Fight fans call these boxers boring but true boxing fans should appreciated the technical ability of boxers like these boxing isn't just throwing punches it's about defence as well and one other thing if this was 10 years ago at middleweight Pavlik would be getting carried out on a strecther after about 5 rounds.

Yeah Mon Hafeez there was only one winner between super joe and bum-hop, and it was joe. ok he had the knock down in the first but never followed it up with anything meaningful. he should have been thrown out of the ring for that disgraceful display of cheating claiming low blows, it was embarrassing to see a former great acting like that and he should have retired after it. But all the better for pavlik who could beat him up bad, i can't see hopkins going the distance... though i must say i am a little worried about pavlik fighting at the higher weight.

This will be the end of Pavlik, Bernard will expose him and execute the ghost............the only chance Kelly has is if the judges rob Bhop like they did against Joe "slapper" Calzaghe. Bhop landed the more meaningful punches (he blocked a lot of Calzaghes punches) throw in the knockdown and there was only one winner.

DJ, I agree with you in that it will be quite interesting. To me, just because Hopkins "officially" lost against Calzaghe, regardless of who the judges gave this round or that round to, it was a very close fight with one thing being very apparent: Hopkins cannot handle constant pressure like he used to. Pavlik does not throw as many punches as Joe, but there is CONSTANT pressure. This fight will be won in rounds 9-12. Pavlik by UD. I'm gonna lay down the fifty bones to watch this fight, it will be historic. Although, I would rather watch it in the middle of the night than pay $50.

Pavlik has been down three times that I know of, against Zuniga, McKart and Taylor. Each time he did come back to knock out his opponent. Also, I can't understand why people seem to think the weight is a factor. The consensus seems to be that Hopkins has an advantage having fought more times at lightheavyweight. He has only fought one natural lightheavy and that was against a seriously underpar Antonio Tarver. His other 2 llightheavy fights were against Winky Wright (middle) and Joe Calzaghe (supermiddle). Doesn't seem like much of an advantage to me.

'SeanLegend' pavlik has been down quite a few times havent you seen his first fight with taylor he was almost knocked out in the second round. i think if hopkins doesnt tire out late then he can pull out a decision but i dont expect this to be a very exciting one but it is interesting and i want to watch this one so il have plenty of coffee ready lol.

Has pavlik been down in his career? just a thought as hopkins has surprised a lot of "bigger" fighters with his punching power such as Tarver and Calzaghe, thnk his only problem is sustaining an attack after he has Pavlik hurt due to that cliche or fact about the age difference

Hey uppercut, if you do manage to stay up for the fight, you will defininetly by fast asleep by the second round. This one has the potentail to be the most boring boxing match up of all time.

i think i might stay up fot this one,very interesting in a few different areas,can pavlik stop the hop or will the old veteren school the young champ,cant wait,just hope i dont crash out as usual.
