Exclusive: Wlad desperate for Haye win
by Ciaran Baynes, 13 October 2008
Wladimir Klitschko has told setantasports.com he is desperate for David Haye to beat Monte Barrett because he wants to make the Londoner pay for trash-talking him.
Haye publicly confronted the IBF/WBO heavyweight champion in London in April demanding a shot at his titles after Klitschko got his mandatory defences out of the way.
The Ukrainian fighter, whose brother Vitali regained the WBC belt in Berlin on Saturday night, beat his WBO challenger Tony Thompson in July and next faces the IBF's number one contender Alexander Povetkin on December 13.
With Haye meeting Barrett at London's O2 Arena on November 15, both fighters face obstacles before a potential meeting in 2009, but the younger Klitschko brother is just as keen for this fight to take place.

"I keep my fingers crossed that David Haye is going to win the fight," Klitschko told setantasports.com.
"Because this guy was talking so much **** about me.
"Listen, he's got to make it."
Although Vitali Klitschko showed little sign of ring rust in dominating Samuel Peter for eight rounds on Saturday night, Haye does not believe either brother will be able to deal with his speed.
Haye is ranked highly by the WBC [number four], but he insists his eyes remain fixed on Wladimir, though he would like to take on the elder Klitschko afterwards.
“Give me Wladimir first, then I’ll take on the older brother," Haye told the Daily Telegraph. "Neither of them has the speed I can show them and they are both vulnerable.”
