Walsh blow for Boylan
by Oli Skehan , 13 October 2008

Sean Boylan

Seán Boylan looks set to be without the services of Kerry's Tommy Walsh for the upcoming International Rules trip to Australia.

Walsh sat out Kerins O'Rahilly's six-point win over Dingle in the Kerry SFC quarter-final on Sunday due to injury and with O'Rahilly's meeting South Kerry on Sunday week, Walsh looks set to miss the trip Down Under one way or the other.

Meanwhile, Ireland team captain Seán Cavanagh's departure could be delayed after his side Moy beat Derrylaughan in the Tyrone IFC semi-final on Sunday to set up a final date with Trillick.

Cavanagh, who shot five points for his side in the win, stated last week that should his club reach the final he would remain in Ireland until after the game.

Setanta readers' comment of the day

“While all big teams (Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool) were busy protecting their best players, Arsenal was in forefront encouraging injury prone Walcott to participate in that useless freindly. Arsenal has a very thin squad and I remember Walcott said it but Wenger didn't take action to add some players. Arsenal players are not made of steel and Wenger should be prepared for such situation. We need Arsenal supporters on the board of Arsenal who can feel the way we feel when the team is losing and they can force Wenger to buy some experience players. Current board members are only interested in profits yet they (profits) don't go into history of the club”
