David Attoub, the Stade Francais prop, will have his appeal against a 70-week suspension for eye-gouging heard in London on March 2.
Attoub was handed the massive ban after he was found guilty of gouging the eye of Ulster's Stephen Ferris during a Heineken Cup clash last December.
The 28-year-old is contesting the guilty verdict and the length of the suspension.
An independent appeal committee will be chaired by Professor Lorne Crerar (Scotland) and is also made up of Rod McKenzie (Scotland) and Pat Barriscale (Ireland).
