Stoke manager Tony Pulis could be without Danny Higginbotham and Abdoulaye Faye for the trip to Portsmouth on Saturday.
Higginbotham was forced off during the 1-1 draw with Manchester City having suffered a back spasm in the first half of the midweek game and is a major doubt for the game at Fratton Park.
The full-back could join Faye in watching the game from the stands with the Stoke skipper beginning his three-match ban after his sending off against City.
Matthew Etherington is also unavailable as he still hasn't overcome the knee injury he suffered against Manchester City in the FA Cup last weekend so Liam Lawrence should continue in midfield.
