Wigan ace doubtful for Spurs visit

by Admin , 19 February 2010 football news

Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce could come into the Latics side for the game against Tottenham with Titus Bramble a major doubt.

The former Newcastle and Ipswich centre-back picked up a hamstring injury in the goalless draw with Bolton on Wednesday night and doesn't look set to recover in time for the visit of Spurs.

If Bramble doesn't recover then Boyce could come into the Wigan backline or Roberto Martinez could move Paul Scharner from midfield into defence.

Elsewhere Martinez has a fully fit squad to choose from as the Latics look to erase the memory of the 9-1 drubbing they suffered at White Hart Lane earlier in the season.
