Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will be out of action for up to four weeks after scans revealed he has torn his calf muscle.
Cech picked up the injury during the 2-1 defeat against Inter Milan in midweek and although he was ruled out of the games against Manchester City, it was hoped he would be fit for the return leg against Inter Milan.
However after undergoing scans it has now been revealed that the keeper is facing up to a month on the sidelines, news which comes as a blow to Chelsea's push for silverware.
A spokesman for Chelsea said: "Today's scans confirm that Petr Cech suffered a tear in a calf muscle in the Inter game. He is expected to be out for three to four weeks."
