Canada are on course to win the most gold medals ever at a Winter Olympics after adding three more to their tally on Saturday.
The men's ice hockey team face off against the USA in the gold medal match on Sunday night which could push Canada's gold tally to 14, one more than the Soviet Union collected in 1978 and Norway in 2002.
The host nation continued what has been an excellent end to the games on the penultimate day in Vancouver by picking up golds in the men's snowboard parallel giant slalom, the team pursuit in speed skating and the men's curling.
Snowboarder Jasey Jay Anderson was on the hero in the final event on Cypress Mountain as he beat top-ranked Benjamin Karl of Austria while the men's speed skating team overcame arch rivals America in the final of the pursuit event.
Kevin Martin's curlers ended the day on top of the podium after they had beaten Norway 6-3 at the Vancouver Olympic Centre, much to the delight of Martin.
"It's an amazing feeling. I was saying to the guys as we were walking to the podium, it was like we are walking through a dream. Everything has become real," said the men's curling skipper.
