Sam Allardyce says he feels he needs to bring a goalscorer to Blackburn after they missed a number of chances against Liverpool.
Morten Gamst Pedersen, Nikola Kalinic, Steven Nzonzi, Chris Samba and Junior Hoilett all had good opportunities to rescue a point at Anfield on Sunday after Rovers had gone 2-1 behind.
However, despite desperate attempts at the death to find an equaliser Blackburn left Merseyside empty handed again.
Allardyce has now revealed that he feels he needs to find a goalscorer if his Rovers side are to win tight games like Sunday's in the future.
"If we had a goal scorer we would have won the game, with the chances we created. Most definitely we created more chances than them," said Allardyce.
"We failed because we didn't have a goalscorer. They have Torres and Gerrard and their great quality proved the difference.
"
Half a chance and they score.
"For us so many chances went begging and in the end we have only scored from the penalty spot.
"
So of course we are very disappointed in the wasted opportunity."
