Strike The Deal has been injured in Dubai and will not now run for the remainder of the season.
Jeremy Noseda's five-year-old was in training for a spring campaign in Dubai when he suffered the blow which will now keep him off the track for the rest of 2010.
Strike the deal stole success in the Group Three Dubai Duty Free World Trophy last autumn. The horse last ran in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, but his immediate plans have now been put on hold in a disappointing turn of events for the Noseada stable.
Noseda told his website: "It is a bitter blow for us as he is a talented and consistent performer who has been a fabulous servant to the yard.
"We are very saddened by his injury and disappointed for his owner Martyn Barber that the horse will not be competing this coming turf season."
