Slovenian teens impress on Blues trial

Birmingham could attempt to sign Slovenian teenagers Rok Sirk and Miha Blazic after they impressed on a recent trial spell.

The 16-year-old duo are members of the Slovenian Under-17 squad and currently ply their trade for Maribor, who are the reigning champions in their homeland.

Blues boss Alex McLeish offered the pair a chance to train with the Blues Academy for several days and they also featured in a friendly match.

Nusret Jashari, who is the manager of Sirk, revealed that his client did well enough for the Blues to consider making a permanent swoop in the summer.

"For Rok, this is a great opportunity," Jashari told Nogomania.

"It is hard to say anything at this moment but I can confirm that Birmingham City are really satisfied with the effort Rok Sirk has made.

"If Maribor and Birmingham City can find an agreement, then a transfer could be made at the end of the season."
