Tevez makes shock Terry claim

Carlos Tevez said he did not clash with John Terry over Wayne Bridge last week, but warned he would not survive adultery in Argentina.

The Manchester City star was quizzed about his second half confrontation with the Chelsea skipper during last weekend's game at Stamford Bridge, which City won 4-2, amid suggestions the Argentinian hit out at Terry over his alleged affair with Bridge's ex-girlfriend.

However Tevez claimed the spat was purely football related, although he did issue words of warning to Terry about what he could expect had he done the same thing to Bridge in his homeland.

"I didn't fight with Terry because of that," Tevez is quoted in The Sun.

"I fought with him because he took me by the shirt and I didn't like it. I became furious with him because of that."

Tevez added: "It's complicated to say something about what Terry did to Bridge. I don't think you can do that with the wife of another player.

"It's wrong. In my opinion, Terry has no moral code for what he did to Bridge.

"In my neighbourhood if you do that, you lose your legs, or more - you don't survive."

Tevez also revealed that he has football problems with Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, claiming 'I don't like him'.

"I have always had problems with Ballack but, you know, it is just football, not personal issues between us," he added.

"I don't know, maybe he doesn't like me, as I don't like him.

"On the field, I have never understood what he is saying to me, but I am sure he didn't understand me either."
