Aston Villa hope to have central defender Richard Dunne back fit for the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Reading on Sunday.
Dunne picked up the injury during last week's Carling Cup Final defeat against Manchester United and was forced to miss the Republic of Ireland's game against Brazil in midweek.
However boss Martin O'Neill has confirmed that Dunne has overcome the muscle problem and will be fit enough to take his place in the side against the Royals.
Elsewhere O'Neill has no fresh injury worries as Villa look to make a quick return to Wembley for the semi-finals.
Skipper Stiliyan Petrov and defender James Collins were rested from training on Friday but only as a precaution and the duo will both play.
