Jimmy White will miss this year's World Snooker Championships after he was thrashed 10-3 by Ken Doherty in qualifying.
White was always struggling against the 1997 champion, falling behind 5-1 as the Dubliner seized control of the match.
The six-time finalist reduced the deficit to leave it at 6-3 going into the final session, even making a break of 103 at one stage, but Doherty was never really troubled and stormed away with the final four frames.
Doherty will now face Joe Swail on Monday for a place in this year's betfred-sponsored event.
