Australia batsman Michael Clarke has left the current tour of New Zealand for 'personal reasons' ahead of the third ODI.
The 28-year-old has flown home amid rumours that his father is unwell and a week after naked photos of his fiance, Lara Bingle, were circulated in the media.
The Aussie Twenty20 captain has been hounded by the New Zealand press ever since he set foot in the country, with both the press and TV crews desperate to get his response to the pictures that were first shown last week.
The snaps were reportedly taken by AFL star Brendan Fevola three years ago and they appeared in the magazine Woman's Day, before being shown on the internet.
It is not clear when the Test vice-captain will return but he is definitely out of the pivotal third one-day international in Hamilton on Tuesday, which will go a long way in deciding the winner of the series, which currently stands at 1-1.
The New South Wales star made 22 and 11 in the first two one-dayers and he will be missed by skipper Ricky Ponting, who now has only 12 players in the squad, with Adam Voges set to replace Clarke in the starting XI.
