England flanker James Haskell has backed the national side in the club-versus-country row with his employers Stade Francais.
England refused to release Haskell for a French Top 14 match last weekend, which led the French side to accuse the RFU of "blackmail" and "keeping him prisoner".
Haskell said: "My release for international duty and training is specifically provided for and I regret that there's been a misunderstanding. I'll be meeting with Stade once the Six Nations has been completed."
However, Haskell was quick to praise Stade for the way they have treated him since his switch to France and insisted he is eager to return to club duty - once the six nations tournament is over.
He added: "I'd like to make it clear that Stade Francais have been very good to me and I am very happy in Paris.
"I'm looking forward to playing for Stade Francais again at the conclusion of the Six Nations. "
Obviously, like any sportsman, the ultimate honour for me is to represent my country.
"I am now looking forward to putting this issue behind me so that my career can flourish at club and international level."
